The OOZ

For this project, I decided to redesign King Krule’s latest album, “The Ooz“. My intent was to focus on the immersive sounds of the album, while maintaining a level of clarity in order to emphasize the tarry, vocals and overwhelming bass lines. I used a white sharpie to draw the grim-like portrait. The typography treatment is clear in terms of organization, in order to give contrast while still retaining the tactile vocals. The gate-fold sleeve is designed to house one 12” LP.
